Can someone help me identify this British Movie?

It's a british movie for the early or mid 2000's and its about a Black
British Kid who grows up to become one of the most feared gang leaders
in all of his neighborhood. This is all I remember of the plot except
that he was raised by white parents and the actor playing him was a
dark-skinned heavy set guy. Can Someone please name this movie for me?
